Who I Am and How I Got Here

I am a forty-something year-old American expatriot woman, married to a Frenchman and blissfully living with him in one of the banlieues of Paris, who, before transplanting to France, served my community as an intuitive guide, an empathic adviser,  lay counselor and a Corporate Muse.  Born and raised overseas, I understand the stresses and turmoil adjustment to a host country can cause.  I list below some of my history as an alternative counselor.

I have...

... worked with teens in trouble through State family and child welfare services in the US providing one-on-one personalized intervention for some of the hardest cases of behaviorally disturbed young men in the foster care system.  I held this position of two and half years.

... led weekly alternative spirituality workshops with attendance reaching 50 or more at a time.  This lasted for two years and was missed so much by the community that I was asked to consider re-starting the group.  Ah, but marriage "stole" me away to France!

... offered lay-counseling services for individuals and groups of all ages for over 10 years.

... provided my insights and intuitive talents to corporations, helping professionals set worthy goals which led to the implementation of effective marketing strategies and goal setting.

... helped individuals with drug and alcohol addiction issues and am versed in the ideals set down by the AA and NA fellowships as a friend of those in recovery.  I have explored stepwork for my own personal growth in the past and see the 12 step program as a potential tool for anyone, addict or not, who suffers from an unmanageable life.

... studied Theosophy, Anthroposophy, Christianity, Existentialism,  Wicca, and many other traditions and systems of wisdom, in my perpetual search for humanist answers to humanity's questions.
